Prevention Dentistry

OUR APPROACH TO YOUR CARE…

At Beenleigh Dental we are committed to providing you with the best preventative dental care you deserve, so your smile lasts a life time!

In our practice we focus evenly on patient education and oral care for the entire family. We use Intra Oral camera images to demonstrate where and why problems are occurring with patients’ oral health. Our new Hygienist to the practice will also educate you on preventative care and cleaning techniques.

PREVENTIVE CARE APPOINTMENTS

At Beenleigh Dental a scale and polish is known as a “Preventive Care Appointment” as we provide much more then “just a clean” during this visit. Our philosophy is to focus on the prevention of tooth decay and gum disease, as well as the removal of calculus and stains.

Your preventive care appointment with our dentists will make your teeth and gums feel great and look good. You will be instructed on the correct methods of cleaning suitable to your needs and you will also be recommended dental hygiene products most appropriate for you.

Beenleigh Dental runs a ‘Preventive Care Program’ which keeps you in our system for your periodic examination and preventive care treatment.

THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE…

We also make use of latest technologies such as iPads and applications to further educate our patients’ needs. We provide general dentistry including cleans, treatments and educative oral check-ups to maintain our patients healthy teeth!

Your Thorough Examination

A thorough examination at Beenleigh Dental is a complete mouth examination. The condition of your gums, teeth, tongue and jaw joints is checked and recorded. An oral cancer check is also included looking for any possible signs of disease.

Many medical conditions can be picked up early in the mouth, we believe in educating our patients to be aware of the risks and symptoms associated with these diseases.

Professional Cleaning

A professional clean is the best way to ensure that any plaque that has been missed in your daily routine is cleaned away and that built up tartar is removed.

Fluoride Treatment

For many years it has be known that fluoride applied to teeth can make them far more resistant to tooth decay. Fluoride is present in most toothpaste and in 2008 fluoride began to be incorporated into south-east Queensland public water schemes.

Fissure Sealants

All back teeth have grooves and fissures of varying depth on the biting surface. Some patients’ fissures are very deep and narrow therefore they collect food and plaque which promotes cavities to form.
